All Things Party: The Not-So-Newlywed game was a fun Valetines Day party. It was a such a fun night with getting to know our favorite friends better.
What’s better than a night with friends laughing and eating good food? Nothing! I love having friends over. I have some wonderful friends in our neighborhood that we love to get together with.
When I am planning on a get together I usually start off with a theme. I decided, because it was February I wanted to have something fun with Valentines Day. I found this super fun game from The Dating Divas website called “The Not So Newlywed Game” This game included the invitation, the question cards, answer sheets, and score card. It was as easy as taking the downloaded file to my local Kinkos and having them printed.
We invited 10 couples to come, eat and play. Now that I had the theme and guest list it was time to plan the menu!! Since I was inviting a large group I didn’t want to do a full meal. So I decided to have some fun little tastes. Just something that would be easy and not require a lot of utensils. Something that you could walk around and chat and eat. I made 3 savory options and 3 sweet options. I had some Tomato and Basil soup shooter with sliced grilled cheese dippers, Chicken Salad Wontons, and Pulled Pork sliders with an apple slaw. The sweet options were a Mini White Chocolate Raspberry Bundt cakes, Eclair cups, and Salted Caramel Brownie Triffles. I was able to find the little desert cups and utensils here. It was a great night of lots of laughing and we certainly learned a lot about each other.
